Let’s face it, this tree’s unique sky-high stature and open park-like understory are a big part of what creates the look, feel, and smell of our home here in the Inland Northwest.
While there are over 100 species of Pine, there is only one Ponderosa.
Ponderosa’s seemingly prolific nature can be taken for granted, but when we are able to slow down and notice ki’s subtle characteristics and required habitat, we are reminded that we live among massive elder beings unique only to the west. These elders have witnessed significant changes throughout their lifetime, one that can span centuries.
During our time together we will deepen our understanding of Pinus ponderosa by examining closely what makes this species special among the rest of the conifers and pines and how these kin play an important role in the broader ecology of our home.
This will look like:
meditation, focused breath, storytelling
sensory exploration with wildcrafted tea and oil
kinesthetic learning through a somatic movement practice called WildCore™.
These offerings are designed for those who enjoy warming up and enlivening their feminine body with gentle dance movement. My intention is to hold a safe container of space for one another to move unencumbered by perfection and self-judgment.
At the end of our time together each participant will bring home condensed guidance on the expanded medicinal values, ethical harvesting tips, and tried and true recipes for use in cultivating a deeper personal relationship with Ponderosa.
Open to all levels.
No dance or movement background is necessary.
Come as you are.
