Settle in by the warm wood stove…
at the historic Meadowbrook Hall located just a few minutes outside of town. Allow the warmth to envelop you as we spiral inward and steep ourselves in the healing essence and lore of 3 local plant allies.
Note: This offering is the third in a three-part series. Participants are welcome to attend one or all three. See registration details below.
CLEAVERS
Galium appraise
A humble little plant with a velcro-like surface that most people only notice when they find it sticking to their clothing upon returning from a walk.
While spindly and small in nature, cleavers grow in a large community and can make a big impact on range of conditions that afflict the inner waters of the body including the lymphatic system, kidneys, urinary tract, and skin.
This plant can bring gentle movement and cleansing into the areas that may have become stuck or stagnant both physically and energetically.
Just like us, this plant is beginning to peep out of the ground after a long winter of rest. In this upcoming offering, we will ask Cleavers to support our emergence into the brighter days, clear out any attachments to the past, and focus on that which is congruent with our truest dreams and desires for spring.
Together we will orient our senses to the more subtle qualities of Cleavers by examining its core patterns growing preferences, and overall signature.
This will look like:
meditation, focused breath, sacred story
sensory exploration with wildcrafted tea and oil
kinesthetic learning and plant pattern recognition through a somatic movement practice called WildCore™.
WildCore incorporates a blend of choreography, conscious dance, breath-work, and belonging, which naturally awakens our inner dancer, enlivens our well-being, and inspires self-healing.
Note: All Lapis Sky offerings aim to create a safe container of space to dance unencumbered by perfection and self-judgment. Open to all levels. No dance background is necessary. Come as you are.
