Cords, lines, tendrils, threads…

We all have them.

They are the lines that connect our energy bodies (aura, chakras, etc.) and extend into the world connecting with people, places, animals, and even objects.

All relations have an etheric cord of connection.

Healthy cords serve as a conduit for energy. They are a catalyst for expanding creativity and hold a dynamism surpassing the sum of the connected parts.

Two beings with a healthy cord of connection create more magic than one being on their own.

The vitality of our cords is founded on the premises of mutual reciprocity; a continual fluid balance of giving and receiving. When there is ongoing self-righting taking place within the relationship, feelings of trust and connection are experienced even in physical separation.

Contrastingly, messy or restrictive cords drain our energy, block the flow of creativity, and distract us from our higher purpose.

In the next Lapis Sky offering we will be examining our own energetic cords with the support of Usnea, a highly potent wild ally living in the branches and bark of trees.

Usnea is an extraordinary example of two very different species, fungi, and algae, combining forces to create an entirely different form of life, “lichen”. Within their shared architecture a powerful antiviral medicine has manifested.

Interestingly, Usnea is identified by an internal elastic white cord. The kind of cord you might imagine connecting us with our closest living and ancestral relations.

During these times of extreme polarity and contradictions of duality (black-and-white thinking and perceiving), there is much we can learn from Usnea.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this upcoming offering, we will orient our senses to the more subtle qualities of Usnea by examining its growing preferences, signatures, patterns, and essence.

This will look like:

  • meditation, focused breath, storytelling

  • sensory exploration with wildcrafted tea and oil

  • kinesthetic learning through a somatic movement practice called WildCore™.

These offerings are designed for those who enjoy warming up and enlivening their feminine body with gentle dance movement. My intention is to hold a safe container of space for one another to move unencumbered by perfection and self-judgment.

At the end of our time together each participant will bring home condensed guidance on the expanded medicinal values, ethical harvesting tips, and tried and true recipes for use in cultivating a deeper personal relationship with Usnea.

Open to all levels.

No dance or movement background is necessary.

Come as you are.
